PRESSURE BALANCED BELLOWS EXPANSION JOINT
The pressure thrust imposed on the system piping anchors is nearly eliminated with the pressure balanced expansion joint design. Triad Bellows designs and manufactures both the 90 degree elbow style (shown) and the inline pressure balanced style. When space limitations prevent sturdy enough anchor designs this metal expansion joint comes to the rescue.
Tied Universal Metal Bellows Expansion Joints
The tied universal expansion joint design has large lateral offset capabilities. This double bellows style expansion joint can also be engineered for large amounts of axial compression or a combination of both. Tie rods are designed to absorb the full pressure thrust of the bellows eliminating the need for anchors when used for lateral offset only.

Externally Pressurized Expansion Joints For Extreme Axial Travel
Triad Bellows custom designs externally pressurized expansion joints up to 18” diameter with axial compression capabilities up to 16” of travel. All expansion joints are manufactured in the United States and can be custom designed with all stainless steel construction, Inconel bellows, ANSI forged flanges etc… By design the externally pressurized expansion joint is extremely rugged and has several built in features.
Large Diameter Metal Bellows And Expansion Joints Up To 110”
With modular tooling, Triad can manufacture uncommon diameter bellows and metric sizes. Most bellows sizes can be produced quickly from 2″ to 110” diameter. As with the smaller bellows, we fabricate multi-ply construction for increased cycle life and movement capability with larger diameters as well. High temperature T-321 stainless steel is our standard material of construction, but T-316, T-304, T-309, T-310, Hastelloy X, Hastelloy C276, Inconel 625 and other alloys can also be used in any of our metal bellows designs.
